LEADING Camera StabiliSer

Camera stabilisers have now become a must have for every camera person owing to increasing number of production houses opting for handheld cameras for the liberty it allows while capturing shots. Shifting the weight of the camera from the shoulder further supports the camera person to enhance the process of capture while operating in different angles.

Steadicam M-1

The Steadicam® M-1 is a modular camera stabilizer designed specifically for HD broadcast, feature film, and all demanding camera operating requirements.

The highly adaptive and open architecture of the Steadicam M-1 allows for extreme system configuration and quickly accommodates industry standard cameras and accessories.

The core of the Steadicam M-1 is built around rigid, all-aluminum base and stage frames; high modulus of rigidity and indexed carbon fiber telescopic posts; and an ultra-high precision gimbal.

A small fraction of the many features that come standard on the new Steadicam M-1 are three true HD lines, multiple high-amperage power ports top and bottom, and a vernier adjustable tilthead.

Easyrig Minimax

Useful for documentaries, news, events, and more, the Easyrig Minimax is great for situations which require extensive handheld camera work with cameras weighing from 4.4 to 15.4 pounds. Rather than uncomfortably handholding your camera, supporting the weight with your arms, the Minimax redistributes the weight of your camera setup through the body harness. Taking the weight off your arms lets you hold the camera steady for longer periods of time without fatigue. An added bonus of the Minimax is increased stability in your shots. The support rope, while transferring the weight to the harness, also adds a point of contact, reducing vibrations.

The Minimax model features a redesigned spring system which results in smoother support rope movement with reduced friction. A conical wheel unrolls the rope with increasing force as the rope is unraveled. Additionally, an overload protection system will trip if the maximum weight capacity is exceeded. Another improvement included in the Minimax model is the pivoting upper arm brought down from the Easyrig 3 Cinema model. The pivot allows you to swing the camera to the side, or even have it sit on your shoulder.

Steadicam Steadimate

The Steadicam Steadimate is a brilliant device that allows operators to attach a Steadicam arm and vest to motorised gimbal stabilisers including the DJI Ronin® and Freefly MōVI®. Simply swap out one of the handles of your motorized gimbal mount and replace it with the Steadimate. From there, the Steadimate serves as the handle of your handheld motorised gimbal, but now advantageously equipped with an arm post for attaching a stabilizing arm.

Adapting your motorised gimbal with an arm and vest turns your motorised gimbal into a body-worn stabilier, meaning the operating load is taken off the arms of the operator allowing for longer durations of stable handheld video shooting.

Increased stability in footage; the Steadimate gimbal adapter provides tilt axis stabilisation, as well as z-axis stabilisation from the Steadicam Arm.

In a nutshell, the Steadimate Adapter easily transforms motorised gimbals into professional video stabilization camera rigs.

The Steadimate gimbal mount comes standard with a post block and balance pin that fit arms with 1⁄2” posts. Operators can purchase accessories that adapt the Steadimate to fit arms with 5/8” and 3⁄4” posts.

The weight capacity for the Steadimate depends on the weight capacity of the motorised gimbal, arm, & vest being used. For operators who already own an arm & vest, the Steadimate can be purchased on its own. For operators in need of a complete kit, Tiffen offers Steadimate Systems in two weight classes:

• Steadimate 15 System with the A-15 Arm & Vest [15 lb / 6.8 kg capacity]
• Steadimate 30 System with the A-30 Arm & Vest [30 lb / 13.6 kg capacity]

Steadicam Zephyr

“Style, functionality, flexibility and affordability all wrapped within the Steadicam Zephyr. A new innovative approach to camera stabiliser design, the Steadicam Zephyr has a host of “future proof” features that allow it to be a versatile and an ever-evolving essential tool for camera stabilisation needs.

The Zephyr vest design incorporates adjustable and pivoting shoulder buckles to assure a new comfort level for extended use.

Vest and pad covers are easily removed for cleaning or replacement offering extended durability.

The tools-free patented Iso-Elastic™ stabiliser Zephyr Arm supports 23lbs (10.4kg) of payload weight. The no-tools Arm /Vest interface allows for quick customisation to the individual operator. “On the fly” weight adjustment frees the operator from dismounting the system to make changes. The open design of the arm has freedom of movement unknown in this weight class. The Zephyr adjustable and interchangeable arm post assembly is a feature usually found on more expensive systems.

The Steadicam Zephyr comes standard with a 7” Multi standard HD/SDI LCD 1000 nit monitor that features enhanced image quality and a wide viewing angle, even under bright sunlight making it ideal for field production use. Input configurations include: Analog NTSC/PAL Composite Component/RGB with active loop through.

The Zephyr camera mounting stage was designed for enhanced mounting stability with standard HD and composite BNC video connectors, 2 x standard 3-pin LEMO power connectors and expandability ports for future accessories. The stage comes complete with a dual axis vernier adjustable mounting platform and extended camera mounting dovetail plate.

The Zephyr Sled Base features extendable rigid aluminum monitor and battery mounting rods, easily removable for compact storage or transport. A single mounting rod release allows for quick set-ups and ease of dynamic and inertial adjustments.

Axler Robin Pro 40 Stabiliser L

The Axler Robin Pro 40 Stabiliser Llets you capture smooth, free-floating handheld shots with camcorders and camera rigs weighing up to 15 pounds. The system employs a height-adjustable gimbal and two-stage center column for balancing heavier loads without increasing the weight of the stabiliser, letting you shoot for longer periods of time with less arm fatigue. Four segmented counterweights are included, which screw into sockets at the bottom of the stabiliser, providing weight compensation along two axes. Each counterweight consists of four separate pieces that screw into each other, letting you to add or remove weight along two axes as needed. This makes it easy to balance your camera rig even when the weight is unevenly distributed.

The camera platform features a quick release plate with fine-tuning adjustment knobs to help achieve optimal balance. Once balanced, the stabiliser isolates the camera from your body movements, letting you walk or even climb stairs, all while capturing smooth, elegant-looking footage. A durable nylon carry case is included for easy storage and transport of the stabiliser and counterweights.

Two-Axis, Multi-Piece Counterweights

The stabiliser makes it easy to balance your camcorder or camera rig, even if the weight is unevenly distributed. Four segmented counterweights are included, which screw into sockets at the bottom of the center column and offer weight compensation along two axes. Each counterweight consists of four individual pieces that screw into each other, letting you add or remove pieces one at a time to adjust and fine-tune the system’s center of gravity.

Adjustable Gimbal

The height-adjustable gimbal can be positioned anywhere along the center column. This helps you balance heavier loads by moving the gimbal higher up on the column, reducing the amount of counterweight you need. Fewer counterweights means less stress on your arm, which results in longer shooting times before fatigue sets in.

Two-Stage Center Column

Before adding more counterweights to the stabiliser, you can extend the center column to help balance your camcorder. The stabiliser has a maximum extended height of 45” and a minimum height of 25.5”.
